As far as painting fire goes, I noticed that most of the stuff on your website is in acrylics. You might want to try oils for their better blending to get a good fire look.

...Now I don't just want to do stop-motion animation of my fire doll dancing, I want her to be able to do that. (But the logistics of stop-motion animation intimidate me, much less those of including fire... hmmm...)
