remote-control breasts??

So I'm sitting on the bed, a sleeping Aiden in my lap, a purring Nuit snuggled up as close as she can get to being in my lap, talking with Andrei.

Suddenly, the precious sleeping child lets rip a cacophonous, GIGANTIC dump.

And as if on cue, both of my breasts start leaking like a sieve.

What's almost as bad is the first couple of times that you are out in public and baby gets fussy because it's feeding time NOW!

Yeah leaking breasts then are not fun...

Make sure you have plenty of breast pads. I had to quite literally LIVE with them in my bra from the moment my milk came in.

I've been living with the pads 99% of the time, but this was a brief, gloriously braless moment where I thought I was safe....

I'm also starting to despair that they make a nursing bra in my size that actually has something resembling support. These things are going to be hanging down to my knees in a year at this rate....

For a simple answer to the bra issue try here http://www.bravadodesigns.com/ I was able to get one in a 38H (the supreme nursing bra).

For a more complicated answer, you can also look for a Colesce or Jeunique consultant for custom fitted bras (I have been wearing them for a few years now and they are awesome, have great support, no wires, and work for nursing). The ones I wear are here: http://www.jeunique.com/EN/pages/body/cameo.html

Yep, same here. 24/7 bras with pads the entire time I nursed. That was the primary downside to me.

It's time for a refill!

You are a feeding machine controlled by your baby! In the beginning months of nursing my son, I could just think about him and start leaking. Mother-child bonding is the most powerful instinctive feeling I've ever had.

(Btw, have you been hit yet by the projectile poop? That happened to us both, and was the beginning of MANY jokes!)

Not yet, though I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Projectile pee, on the other hand....

Heh heh... I hated that.
I was on enforced bed rest for the first 6 weeks of my son's life though, so I didn't have to worry about other people seeing. By the time I was out and about again I pretty much had the situation under control and knew when it was time to feed or pump so they wouldn't embarass me.
