ha ha. I'm so funny. Er.

So as I was watching Andrei check in some xJournal code, the germ of the following bad, gender-stereotypical, geek joke swam through my head:

Q: Why do so many women like dating geeks?
A: Because they actually know how to commit.

Yeah, yeah, I told you it was bad.

(For the geek-impaired: commit is a command used in most version-control programs to check in source code; in essence saying "yes, really, these changes I just made to the code are for real and may even actually work. Somebody else can go screw it up now.")

Careful - we know how to rollback too.

So two atoms are walking down the street, and one says "Whoops - I just dropped an electron." The other asks "Are you sure?" "I'm positive," says the first. Get it? Positive!

I guess that means geeks know how to check you out before they commit.
