okay, what the hell

it's flour paste. flour and water. that's all. why the hell is it entrenched so firmly in my carpet that it would take an army of martha stewarts twelve years to get it out?

(anybody know a good way to get flour paste out of carpet? my carpet cleaner doesn't work. goo-gone sort of does, but only with five minutes scrubbing per 2mm-diameter spot, and I've got this stuff all over the living room.)

grumble bitch whine grumble.

You need to soak it.

Ever make homemade bread and didn't put water in the bowl when you were done? That's what is on your carpet now. I would get soggy wet (preferably warm) paper towels and lay them over the spots and let them sit there, draining water into your carpet for a good 10 minutes. Yes, its wet and yucky and probably Not Good (tm) for the carpet pad but its the only way I know of to break up dried flour/water stuff.
