whee

alas, my pool game does *not* improve when "enhanced" by alcohol. It does, however, become immensely more entertaining.

Back in my Army days (1994, specifically, for this particular incident...), I drank very, very rarely (still do, actually). So, when I was sent off to Fort Dix for training for a couple of weeks, I was often bribed into being DD for a bunch of other guys that wanted to go out and get blasted.

One night, we were at a local bar, and Ted was highly intoxicated, and playing pool. We decided we'd leave once he lost a game. Unfortunately, he does not have your problem, and our problem was that the drunker he got, the better he played.

It got to the point where he would have to ask me which balls were his before going back to the table when it was his turn to shoot again.

About 1:30 (wake up was 6am...), it was his shot again, so he asked me which balls were his.

"The round ones," I told him. He took his stick, went up to the table, got down behind the cue ball, then realized that all the balls were round.

Trying to function through class the next day absolutely sucked.
