bad poetry ahead

you have been warned.

1. I want to sing you the song of my heart
But you close your ears and turn away
Out of loyalty to another.

I want to sing you the song of my soul
A song in which you speak to me of love
Which does not end in ruin.

You opened the sky so I could see my song
Then abandoned me to the silent wastelands
The music frozen to my lips

2. This clenched fist speaks in silence.
The suppressed anger, the despair,
The hope that will not die
though I slam a stake through its heart
again
and
again

3. Autumn brings omens
A bonfire's foreshadowing
Leaves of silent flame.
