What if Jesus knew kung fu?

Gonna do the book-review-listing thing this year. Not planning to shoot for a certain number, but I am interested in having a record of what I read.

1. Lamb - or, The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, by Christopher Moore
The subtitle pretty much says it all as far as what the book is about. Levi who is called Biff, Jesus' friend from the time he was six, is brought back to life two thousand years later to write his own version of the Gospel. Moore reminds me of Connie Willis and Tom Robbins in his peculiar blend of the profound with the absurd - and his particular take on what Jesus *really* was trying to do is, in my view, very Gnostic and very very cool.

And yes - it answers the question of "what if Jesus knew kung fu?"

Moore's written at least six other books, including such titles as Practical Demonkeeping and Island of the Sequined Love Nun, which may now be required additions to my library as well....

Many thanks to tzaddi_93 and tygeressdenacht for recommending this book to me :)
